She was a charter member of the Pleasant Hill Community United Way and was recently honored as a 70-year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She served on the Parks and Recreation board, and was a member of the Piecemakers Quilters Guild, and the Lioness Club. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill 1st Presbyterian Church where she played the organ for over 50 years, but was recently attending the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, quilting, and traveling, and was a member of a book club for over 20 years.
