James D Jensen

September 22, 1965 ~ August 17, 2021 (age 55)

James Donald “Donnie” Jensen, 55, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born, September 22, 1965, in Kansas City, the son of Charles Michael and Barbara Ann (Adams) Jensen.  He departed this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in Sunrise Beach, Missouri.

Donnie was a 1983 Raytown South High School graduate.

On January 16, 1996, he was united in marriage to Shannon Marie Jensen in Kansas City.  They later divorced but remained good friends.  She preceded him in death on February 18, 2021.

James was a self-employed Carpenter applying his skills to numerous homes in the Kansas City area. He enjoyed a good drink, playing poker, hanging out with his friends, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.  Listening to music and attending concerts was his life; he loved it so much always jamming! He used to say, "if it's to loud your to old!" More than anything he most enjoyed spending time with his family.

Donnie was also preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his daughters Alexis Rehms of Kansas City, Missouri, and  Allisen Jensen of Goldsboro, North Carolina; two granddaughters, McKenna and McKayla; his mother, Barbara Wear of Raytown; one brother, Dwayne Jensen of Raytown; three sisters, Tonya Whetsel of Independence, Missouri, Tricia Sparks of Raytown, Kathie Bryant of Mid-West City, Oklahoma, and Sara Bryant-Bunch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; other relatives and friends.
