On Monday, July 9, 2018, Yoshiko Knope passed away at the age of 81 years.

Yoshiko’s legacy lives on through her daughter, Alice Martin and her husband Tony, and through her grandchildren Kelcey Clapp and her husband Jordan, Noah and Jonah, and great-grandchildren Emmy, Ollie, and Hazel. They all lovingly called her “Obaa.”

She is preceded in death by her parents Soko and Uto Machida, and her brother Minoru. She is survived by her sisters Sadako, Chiyoko, and Sumiko, and her brother Kunio.

Yoshiko loved to garden extensively and go bowling. She also loved to spoil her grandkids and great-grandkids rotten. She was a faithful supporter of Kansas City baseball and football and Indiana basketball. She will be sorely missed.
