PATRICK A. DINGES
Patrick Allan Dinges, 66, of Kingsville, was born May 14, 1953, in Harrisonville, the son of Eugene and Irene (Spiwak) Dinges. He unexpectedly departed this life Friday, August 23, 2019, at his home.
Pat was a 1971 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.
On February 29, 2012, he was united in marriage to Michele M. (Connell) Freed in Warrensburg.
Pat was a valued and respected bridge superintendent in the construction industry for 48 years. He was known state-wide for his excellence and meticulous standards while workingfor W.A. Ellis Construction and Radmacher Brothers Excavating Company. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #101. Pat was the definition of loyalty and integrity.He made life easier for any one lucky enough to be a part of his life. Pat’s hobbies and interests included the outdoors, wildlife, traveling, and was most happy when with his many grandchildren. He leaves a legacy of hard work, generosity, and unmeasurable love.
Pat was preceded in death by his father, Gene, and his son, Troy.
He is survived by his wife Michele of the home; his mother Irene, of Pleasant Hill;one daughter, Jennifer (and Phillip) Fleming of Kingsville; three step children, Jennifer (and Austin) Hodson of Pleasant Hill, Devin (and Lauren) Freed of Pleasant Hill, andBrandy (and Daniel) Wiggins of McAlester, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, James Fleming, Sophie Fleming, Harper Fleming, Carter Hodson, Addley Hodson, Tracker Hodson, Macklynn Hodson, Beau Freed, Huntley Freed, Hank Freed; two brothers, Larry and Mike Dinges, both of Pleasant Hill; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation was held at Monday, evening August 26, 2019.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at the funeral home. Father Curt Vogel officiated. Interment was in the Kingsville Cemetery. Casket bearers were Kenny Adams, Brian Dinges, Clint Dinges, Todd Dinges, Dave Dodson, and Dennis Snyder.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
