Tradition

Serving Our Community Since 1934 . . .

We are proud to be the oldest funeral home in Pleasant Hill. This long standing commitment to serving the families of this and the surrounding communities began in 1934 when Dr. Allen Brownfield, DDS purchased the Green Mansion and converted it into a funeral home. He operated the Brownfield Funeral Home until Raymond and Lillian Stanley purchased it in 1954. The funeral home remained with the Stanleys through two generations of honest, ethical and caring service.

The Tradition Continues . . . with Stanley-Edenburn Funeral Home

In September 2006, the Dickey family of Harrisonville and Garden City purchased the funeral home from Clark and Eugenia Stanley. Jerald and Sonja along with his parents, Bill and Wilma Dickey, have been serving families in the area for over 60 years. We assure you that we will do our best to uphold the excellent quality of service seen in the past as well as introducing our own attention to detail.

Jerald & Clark worked together to bring John Edenburn back home to Pleasant Hill to manage the funeral home. This was an opportunity for John to serve friends and families in the community he has always called home.
